Caterlush was born from our appetites for food that feels like home. Our founder, Ajla, comes from a culture with rich, flavorful cuisines. But living far from home, she found herself searching for familiar flavors "like mom made it."

Founder Ajla was running a small micro-catering business when the idea first came to her. Through that experience, she saw how much people valued food that was locally made, carefully prepared, and shared in moments that bring people together.

At the same time, she realized something else. There were talented food creators everywhere — bakers, caterers, home cooks, and chefs — quietly making incredible food from their kitchens, homes, and small setups. Their food carried stories, traditions, and creativity, but most of them didn’t have a real platform to be discovered.

These were people with the power to feed communities, create memorable gatherings, and bring a more human side back to the way we experience food.
